The ViewSonic XG240R has been announced a while ago and was available in selected regions. The company just announced it is now globally available including the Asia region. This screen has a 24" Full HD panel (TN) offering a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time at a more affordable 269 EUR / 259 USD price marker.
The XG240R and XG350R-C are the first monitors aligned with partnered software programs that enable customizable RGB lighting capabilities. The XG240R is a highly responsive competitive gaming monitor that delivers esport tournament-level performance. With 1080p Full HD resolution, it boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, super-fast 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync™ anti-tearing technology, ensuring a captivating gaming experience. The 144Hz refresh rate is offering smooth performance when your GPU’s pumping out high frame rates. The main specifications include a contrast ratio of 1,000: 1 (dynamic contrast: 120,000,000: 1), a brightness of 350 cd/m2 and viewing angles of horizontal 170 ° / vertical 160 °.
The ViewSonic XG240R has one DisplayPort and two HDMI for display output. There’s no DVI here. There are also three USB ports, which could come in handy for charging devices such as your smartphone while you game. Its sRGB colour gamut coverage score of 94%. SOme RGB has been implemented as well, but it is hidden on the backside.
