TSMC recently stated that their 10nm volume production is still already close-by, they will ramp to volume production if 10nm process fabbed wafers next year in 2016 already.
The company shared whis information in a recent Q2-2015 earnings call. "The recent progress of our 10 nanometer technology development is very encouraging and on track with our plan," joint-CEO Mark Liu said. TSMC will start 10nm production at its existing Taichung, Taiwan site, where the chipmaker will later embark on production at more advanced technology nodes.
That means Q1 v2017 we should be able to see the first 10nm chips and products based on 10nm, followed by 7nm in 2017.
