Transcend introduced the NVMe M.2 SSD MTE250S series, which features PCI Express 4.0 (x4) connectivity. There are two capacity variants available: 1TB and 2TB.

The controller is an 8-channel NVMe 1.4 controller with 3D NAND flash and DRAM cache. This model has a sequential read speed of 7,200MB/s (7,100MB/s for the 2TB model), a write speed of 6,500MB/s (6,200MB/s for the 1TB model), a random read speed of 530,000 IOPS, and a write speed of 420,000 IOPS. Furthermore, the MTBF is 3 million hours, the write endurance is 0.43 DPWD (5 years), and the total write capacity for 2 TB is 1,560 TBW and 780 TBW for 1 TB. It is also appropriate for creative work to write data.

The form factor is M.2 2280 (double-sided mounting), the body size is 22 mm wide, 80 mm deep, 3.77 mm thick, and weights 10 g, and the surface features a thin graphene heat sink. The product has a 5-year warranty.
