Thermalright announced the high-performance tower type side-flow CPU cooler Frost Commander 140, which uses a φ8mm heat pipe.
A high-performance twin tower type side-flow CPU cooler equipped with two fans, a 120mm square fan "TL-C12 Pro G" and a 140mm round fan "TL-D14X". The two heat sinks are connected by five heat pipes with a diameter of 8 mm, which are thicker than usual (6 mm in diameter). Excellent cooling performance is achieved by quickly transferring the heat of the CPU to the entire heat sink from the nickel-plated C1100 copper heat receiving base.
The specifications of "TL-C12 Pro G" are maximum rotation speed of 1,850 rpm ± 10%, noise level of 29.6 dBA, maximum air volume of 82 CFM, maximum static pressure of 2.1 mmH2O, and bearings of S-FDB. The specifications of "TL-D14X" are maximum rotation speed of 1,800 rpm ± 10%, noise level of 30.2 dBA, maximum air volume of 95.5 CFM, static pressure of maximum 2.25 mmH2O, and bearings of S-FDB.
The size of the heat sink is 121 mm in width, 140 mm in depth, 160 mm in height, the thickness of the fins is 0.4 mm, the fin pitch is 1.8 mm, and the number of fins is 53. Supported platforms are Intel LGA115x / 1200/2011/2066, AMD Socket AM4.
