Street Fighter IV is, indeed, coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, Capcom announced today, confirming rumors that first surfaced yesterday online.
Street Fighter IV is the first "new" Street Fighter game in quite a while, as Capcom has previously focused on varying versions of its popular Street Fighter II arcade game. Last we checked, the series stood at the Street Fighter II: Hyper Mega Super-Duper Tricked-Out Ultra Edition.
Street Fighter IV has a distinctive new look even though it's still a 2D game.
Capcom's brief announcement confirming the game was coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC went like this:
