The suspected NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 graphics card, equipped with a quad-slot prototype cooler, has once again emerged in public discourse.
New images of this rumored cooler were shared on social media, primarily sourced from Goofish, a platform often used for the exchange of unreleased hardware. The design, aligning with prior leaks, features an impressively large heatsink with a distinctively positioned PCB that runs parallel to the motherboard, marking a potential first in consumer graphics card design.
One recurring ambiguity regarding these leaks is the inconsistent labeling of the product, with references to RTX 4090 Ti, RTX 4090, and even the next-gen TITAN. Early images featuring a unique gold cooler shroud pointed towards a TITAN series application. Yet, the GPU frame is associated with the RTX 4090 GPU, suggesting this prototype cooler is an early design that may not have made it to the final product.
Given the consistent resurfacing of this prototype cooler, its potential incorporation into an RTX 40 GPU remains a point of speculation. It's been designed specifically for a board labeled PG137, which is yet to be matched with any known SKU. However, should NVIDIA be developing a similar board, a swift association with this cooling design may be probable. Noteworthy aspects of the cooler include a 90-degree angled PCB and stacked display connectors that logically complement the PCB's right-sided position.
