Sony has announced the release of its smallest wireless earbuds to date, the WF-C510, set for launch next month. Priced around $68, the earbuds are designed with a compact and lightweight structure, making them an entry-level option for users seeking portability without compromising functionality. Available in four color options—black, blue, yellow, and white—the WF-C510 is positioned as a versatile choice for various audio needs. The WF-C510, classified as a fully wireless in-ear headphone, is approximately 20% smaller than its predecessor, the WF-C500. Each earbud weighs 4.6 grams, contributing to its lightweight design. The ergonomic surface design ensures a secure and comfortable fit, even with the compact size.

These earbuds are engineered for balanced sound reproduction across a wide frequency range, making them suitable for different music genres. They are equipped with Sony's Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), which enhances the quality of compressed audio files, including MP3s, as well as streamed music and videos, restoring them to near CD-quality sound. In addition to their audio performance, the WF-C510 earbuds feature an ambient sound mode, allowing users to remain aware of their surroundings. The battery life is rated at approximately 11 hours on a single charge, with the charging case extending the total playback time to around 22 hours.

The WF-C510 is expected to be available on September 13, 2024, with an estimated price of $69
