Sharkoon expands its product range of midi towers and introduces two new case series at an attractive price. For lovers of minimalist design, the T3 case optically leans toward the popular T9 series. Gamers and fans of flashy cases will enjoy the VG5 series, particularly with its brawny front panel feature.
With a proven design the Sharkoon T3 case series impresses through its ideal functionality, easily accessible controls and modern connectivity options. Thanks to the simple design of the front panel it's best for office PCs or computers in a classic style. Colored power LEDs in the front as well a 120 mm LED fan in the Value and Window version completes the optical details for the entire series. The Standard version comes without any LED fans, which is particularly suitable for an inconspicuous computer. Thanks to the broad side panels, the entire series offers lots of space for installing components.
Tower coolers with a height of up to 16 cm, graphics cards up to 38.5 cm (with the middle HDD cage removed) and power supplies up to 25 cm are all able to be installed. The cases provide three externally accessible 5.25" drive bays, two of which are equipped with tool-free installation. Internally, up to three 3.5" hard drives can be easily installed tool-free. Up to three 2.5" HDD/SDDs can be fitted into the middle HDD cage, while there is also space for an additional 2.5" HDD/SDD on the bottom of the case. The Value and Window versions also feature USB 3.0 front ports; the Standard version offers connection via USB 2.0.
For an efficient airflow system inside the case, at least one 120 mm fan is located in the front, and depending on the version, up to two fans are pre-installed. Additional fans can be mounted in the front panel to further enhance airflow inside the case. A convenient cable management system as well as a CPU cooler cutout finish off the series. The Standard version is available in black. The Window and Value versions are available, with matching interior painting, in the color versions blue, green and red.
The Sharkoon VG5 series is aimed at gamers and impresses not only through its optical details but also its brawny designed front panel. The black ATX case features in the front two illuminated 120 mm LED fans, two USB 3.0 connection options and easily accessible audio ports. Especially practical: Thanks to the cableless front panel design the panel can be effortlessly removed at any time without having to first detach any cables from the front ports. This greatly simplifies the installation of 5.25" drives.
Broad side panels also allow the installation of tower coolers up to 16 cm, graphics cards up to 38.5 cm (with the middle HDD cage removed) as well as power supplies up to 25 cm. The case also has a usable CPU cooler cutout, two water cooling openings, a convenient cable management system and a pre-installed dust filter on the case bottom for the power supply. In addition, the series features two 5.25" drive bays for optical drives, one of which is equipped for tool-free installation.
By means of the enclosed 5.25" to 3.5" bay cover and mounting frame, a 3.5" card reader can, for example, be quickly and easily installed into one of the two 5.25" drive bays. Internally, three 3.5" hard drives can be easily installed tool-free. Up to three 2.5" HDD/SSDs can be fitted into the middle HDD cage, while there is also space for an additional 2.5" HDD/SSD on the bottom of the case.
Two 120 mm LED fans come pre-installed in the front panel. Additionally, it is possible for another fan to be mounted in the rear panel and, depending on version, also installed on the side panel. The Value version is equipped with blue LED fans. The Window versions are available in the color versions black, blue, green and red with matching interior painting.
End customers will find the Sharkoon T3 ATX case in the Standard, Value and Window versions available immediately for the suggested retail price starting at 27.99€ euros from authorized retailers. The Sharkoon VG5 case series is also now available starting at 32.99€ euros for the Value and Window versions.
