Seasonic has officially launched the PRIME PX-2200 power supply following its initial presentation at Computex 2024. As part of the PRIME Series, the PX-2200 exemplifies Seasonic's commitment to advanced engineering, utilizing high-grade materials and sophisticated manufacturing processes. This power supply integrates features such as digital fan control, modern interleaved Power Factor Correction (PFC), and a patented dual-transformer architecture operating in parallel. These components collectively enhance the unit's efficiency and reliability, making it suitable for demanding computing environments.

The PRIME PX-2200 distinguishes itself within the PRIME lineup by delivering a substantial 2200 watts of power, adhering to the 80 Plus Platinum certification at EU 230 V standards. Designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of power-intensive applications, this unit is compatible with the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, ensuring support for current and future hardware requirements. The fully modular cabling system allows for flexible cable management, reducing clutter and improving airflow within system builds. Additionally, the power supply is equipped with two native 12V-2x6 cables and two 2x8-pin to 12V-2x6 cables, facilitating connections to multiple high-demand components. The inclusion of a 135 mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan, controlled by a digital hybrid system, ensures optimal cooling while minimizing noise levels. Reliability is further assured through the use of Japanese 105°C aluminum electrolytic capacitors and a micro tolerance load regulation of 1%, which collectively contribute to stable power delivery under varying loads. The PX-2200 also features a cable-free connection design and comes with a 12-year warranty, underscoring Seasonic's confidence in its long-term performance.

In terms of availability and pricing, the PRIME PX-2200 is currently accessible in China, with plans for distribution in Europe slated for late September to October 2024. It will also be available in the Rest of the World (ROW) starting from the third quarter of 2024, while availability in North America is yet to be announced. The pricing for the PRIME PX-2200 is set at €579.90 in Europe and $499.99 in the ROW markets. This power supply is engineered to meet the increasing power demands of advanced computing tasks, including artificial intelligence (AI) applications, AI drawing, and edge computing. By providing a robust and efficient power solution, the PRIME PX-2200 aims to support the evolving needs of power users and professionals seeking reliable performance for high-end systems.
