Samsung posted a small video on its Twitter account where it would make the official launch of the new Exynos with AMD RDNA2 GPUs on January 11.

As a result, there is less information than expected on how the first GPU for AMD smartphones will behave, despite the fact that it has the potential to transform smartphone gaming with its various features.

AMD and Samsung announced their collaboration in 2019 with the goal of merging AMD's Radeon graphics with Samsung's ARM-based SoC. It intends to use it to significantly boost the graphics performance of Exynos chips and hence compete with Apple's Bionic SoCs and Qualcomm's Adreno GPUs. Samsung has lagged behind these competitors for years, but the incorporation of RDNA2 may provide the boost necessary to alter the game's rules.

According to certain leaked benchmarks, this new GPU outperforms Apple's A14 in synthetic tests, and Samsung even hinted that it could match prior generation console performance. Additionally, the six RDNA2 compute units with 384 streaming processors promise to deliver ray-tracing capability to mobile devices, even in this low-power environment, enabling mobile game developers to push their games to new levels with the enhanced graphics provided by this technology. According to rumors, Apple's chip outperforms the Exynos 2200 in both single-core and multi-core tests. However, we must keep in mind that these experiments were conducted using chips and software that were still in development. Regardless of the configuration, CPU performance stays comparable and GPU performance is much better. We will not have to wait much longer, as Samsung will unveil the new Exynos 2200 in its entirety on January 11.
