Samsung is launching a new member in its Odyssey G5 line: the C34G55T. It is a 34-inch ultrawide display with a strong 1.000R curvature, 3440 x 1440 pixels (21: 9) and a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
The new model is equipped with a refresh rate of 165 Hz. According to reports, the 8-bit va panel would have a contrast ratio of 2500:1, in addition to a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m², not even close for DisplayHDR certification. mprt would be 1ms, but the gtg response time is not mentioned.
Meanwhile, gamers can look forward to a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and FreeSync support eliminating tearing. The typical power consumption of the monitor is 38 watts. The Samsung Odyssey C34G55T comes with DisplayPort , HDMI and headphone output, weighs 5.2 kg and can only be tilted. A flicker-free backlight promises eye-friendly sessions. In addition, HDR10 support is advertised, which is unlikely to be convincing due to the moderate luminance.
