Ryzen 9 6900HX is 33% faster than the Ryzen 9 5900HX but falls short of Core i9-12900H

AMD recently announced its new Ryzen 6000 Rembrandt APUs for laptops based on Zen 3+ CPUs and RDNA2 iGPUs. The first tests of its top-of-the-line model, the Ryzen 9 6900HX shown impressive performance.



A data set of leaked results surfaced online with the highest single-score was a test on the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro “82RG”, which reached 1616 points in this test where a Ryzen 9 5900HX scores around 1420 points in this test

Compared to Intel the results are less encouraging: a Core i9-12900H scores 1962 points, being 21% faster than this new Ryzen. In the multi-core test, the highest-scoring run was also done on the same Lenovo laptop, and this time it scored 10,151 points, compared to 7,650 for the Ryzen 9 5900HX, marking a 33% jump. The i9-12900H reaches 14540 points, being 43% faster in multi-core.
