Granted it's a long way out, but we do like the Star Trek Borg-styled heat spreader. ExecuFix has unveiled a CPU design for Raphael aka ZEN4 Ryzen processors.
Based on what he knows (and yes we do understand that is relative), he carved out a design of the processor package. ExecuFix earlier unveiled the bottom design of the AM5 package, which would retain the size of AM4 CPUs: 40x40mm. The Zen4 CPU package would only be slightly smaller than Alder Lake (1600 mm2 vs 1687 mm2) mentions Videocardz.
ZEN4 will thus get an AM5 socket, DDR5 memory support and of course PCIe Gen4.0. The Raphael CPUs would also get 4 mour lanes, 28 PCIe lanes. These processors are a long way out, maybe fourth quarter of 2022.
