In an unexpected turn of events, hardware manufacturer Gigabyte inadvertently revealed that the next generation of AMD Ryzen desktop processors may be released later this year.
While the Ryzen 7000 series was introduced only in September 2022 and the new X3D models with 3D V-Cache were launched at the start of 2023, rumors suggest that the Ryzen 8000 series could arrive sooner than expected.
Well, it should be obvious that a next Ryzen generation will be introduced this year. Gigabyte in a PR release:
"The next generation of AMD Ryzen desktop processors that will come out later this year will also be supported on this AM5 platform, (...)"
