Philips released a new 27-inch IPS display that not only has great visuals in the glossy-white Moda design, but it has sound from integrated 7-watt speakers which are combined with Bluetooth connectivity, to stream music and audio in general.
The 275C5QHAW is based on an ultra-thin bezel design with a 2.5mm bezel and additional 3.5mm panel edge. It is based on an AH-IPS panel offering a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 178/178 viewing angles, 16.7m colour depth and an sRGB colour space from the W-LED backlight. There are VGA, 2x HDMI and MHL-HDMI connections provided along with audio input/output. The stand offers only a basic tilt adjustment.
“Looks really matter when people choose a display for their living space,” says Thomas Schade, Vice President EMEA at MMD. “We’re confident that the new display will attract attention for all the right reasons. Not only does it offer great 360-degree looks with the Moda 2 design, people can also look forward to a captivating viewing and listening experience combined in a single device, with surround sound from the integrated speakers and Bluetooth connectivity to reduce cable clutter.”
The display’s integrated 7-watt speakers are powered by a sound system which is tuned with SRS WOW HD™ technology for enhanced audio. The result is surround sound with virtual 5.1 channels for an immersive audio experience. Since the 275C5QHAW display features Bluetooth technology, users can wirelessly stream music from compatible devices, and enjoy their content in stunning audio quality. The display’s Bluetooth speaker system is also a convenient way to make and take hands-free speakerphone calls.
The new Philips Brilliance 275C5QHAW display will be available in December 2014 at a suggested retail price of GBP £279.
