OBS Studio, a popular video streaming software suite, has updated to version 28.1, bringing support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40-series Ada GPUs and hardware-accelerated AV1 encoding.
This makes use of the fixed-function hardware for encoding AV1 video that is included with "Ada," a royalty-free format with quality and bitrates comparable to HEVC. Aside from the fact that it is incompatible with anything but the RTX 40-series, there are a few other restrictions. You can only use the NV12 (OBS default) and P010 colour spaces. The "rescale" option found in the more complex output modes is currently unsupported. Follow the link below to download OBS Studio.
