NVIDIA is about to launch the Geforce GT240 -- on November 17th actually. Geforce GT240 is designed for mainstream market with support for DX10.1.The new cards mission is to replace Geforce 9600GSO / GT cards. Geforce GT240 has 96 cores and features GDDR3 memory working at 900MHz.Geforce GT240 is expected to be available at the price range of Geforce 9600GSO / GT.
Built on the GT215 core, the upcoming GeForce GT 240 graphics card will be based on a 40nm GPU, manufactured at TSMC, will boast support for DirectX 10.1 and will be featured with 96 Stream processors. Although details about its clock speeds are yet to be announced.
