Something is brewing at Nvidia for sure. During Sunday-Tuesday, August 19-21, 2018 the Hot Chips convention is taking place. The conference agenda slash program is made public, and on the first conference day there is a presentation from Nvidia's Stuart Oberman, the title of his conference is: NVIDIA’s Next Generation Mainstream GPU.
There will be multiple presentations from Nvidia during the conference days, however, this topic title certainly spills some gaming beans. So, that means that Nvidia with strong certainly has got a bun in the even. It's been silent alright and we cannot wait what their next generation chip is based on.
Will it offer new architecture, or is it a Pascal Refresh, would it be something Volta based, Ampere heck Turing? Nobody knows except the Nv insiders of course. The presentation will take place on August 20th, which is less than three months away, that also is in line with volume GDDR6 production. Thanks SH SOTN for the news submit.
