AMD in a tweet shares that the 12+4 pin ATX 12VHPWR connector will not be used in any of its upcoming Radeon RX 7000 series next-generation graphics cards.
Scott Herkelman, SVP and GM of the AMD Radeon product group mentioned this on Twitter in the aftermath of this issue. So we're back to two or more 8-pin connectors for some high-end goods whose average board power is bigger than 375 W. On November 3, 2022, AMD is predicted to announce RDNA3 7900 Seriesd graphics cards.
"The Radeon RX 6000 series and upcoming RDNA 3 GPUs will not use this power connector".
