Yesterday Nvidia released a new Game Ready Driver for Windows 10 and Windows 11 users that includes optimizations for several new games as well as DLSS 3.0 support for the popular F1 22. The addition of official support for the recently released GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Plus GDDR6X and RTX 3060 8GB GPUs is likely the highlight here.

If you enjoy playing F1 22 and own a GeForce RTX 40 series graphics card, you will be pleased to know that this new driver adds DLSS 3 support to the game. The racer from Codemasters and Electronic Arts already has graphical flourishes like ray-traced opaque reflections, transparent reflections, ambient occlusion, and shadows, so the addition of DLSS 3 is welcome, but the introduction of DLSS 3 is said to enable 4K at over 120 FPS on smoke-free RTX 40 GPUs. The F1 22 game will receive an update on October 31 that will include DLSS 3 support.

The video memory in the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti variant model has been upgraded from GDDR6 to faster GDDR6X. The graphics memory capacity of the "GeForce RTX 3060" variant model, on the other hand, has been reduced from 12GB to 8GB. Furthermore, the memory bus width has been reduced from 192bit to 128bit, allowing it to bridge the performance gap between the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3050. Support for these has already been added to the most recent "Game Ready" drivers, and graphics card manufacturers plan to release products in November.

To give more choices to gamers and creators, we’re introducing a couple of additional options from our network of graphics card partners worldwide, starting in November.

First is a faster GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GDDR6X memory, in addition to the original version with GDDR6 memory. Second is a GeForce RTX 3060 with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.
