MSI latest X870 series motherboards introduce a significant upgrade to the BIOS interface by transitioning from CLICK BIOS 5 to the newly developed CLICK BIOS X. This update incorporates a new ESA (Enhanced System Architecture) design, offering substantial improvements in both user interface and user experience. The initial models available for pre-sale since September 23 include the PRO X870-P WIFI, MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI, and MPG X870E CARBON WIFI Dark. These motherboards utilize an updated chipset, ensuring compatibility with the latest hardware standards and providing a robust foundation for various computing needs.

The CLICK BIOS X interface brings several technical enhancements aimed at improving system monitoring and performance tuning. One of the key features is the comprehensive hardware monitor, which displays real-time data for all connected fans, including voltage, frequency, and temperature metrics for critical components such as the CPU, memory, and GPU. This allows users to maintain optimal system performance and thermal management. Additionally, the BIOS includes a "Performance Preset" function, enabling users to adjust power limits based on their specific requirements. This feature offers two configuration levels: PBO Auto and PBO Enable, providing flexibility in balancing performance and power consumption.

Another notable advancement in the X870 series is the introduction of the SMART smart button within the CLICK BIOS X interface. This multifunctional button allows users to execute multiple controls with a single action, such as resetting the system, initiating a safe boot, activating turbo fan modes, and managing EZ LED lighting controls. The BIOS also supports one-click overclocking options, including GAMING BOOST, AI BOOST, and EXPO/XMP, catering to both novice and advanced users seeking to enhance their system's performance. Furthermore, the interface offers five distinct themes and the ability to switch between simple and advanced modes, ensuring that users can navigate and configure their systems efficiently. MSI has indicated that the CLICK BIOS X will be a standard feature across its new Intel platform motherboards, signaling a unified approach to BIOS design in their next-generation products.
