One of the titles that never ceases to amaze in regard to how popular it is, is of course Minecraft. new data indicates that worldwide there are now 600 Million players active.  A juicy fact though, 400 million of them originate from China alone.

Minecraft set an unimaginable record in China, exceeding the 400 million registered players. This represents an increase of 100,000,000 new players this year alone, the fastest growth since its launch. The news comes from analyst Daniel Ahmad, who commented: “Minecraft is F2P (Free To Play) in China and is published on mobile devices and PC by NatEase. The paid game sold 200 million units outside of China ”. This partly explains the popularity of the fictitious game in the Asian country with its 1.4 billion inhabitants.
