Microsoft has plans to reorganize the company as a whole. As a result, and as is rumored right now thousands of jobs will be cut, reports Bloomberg based on insiders information.
The company would like to focus more on selling software through the cloud rather than software on desktops and servers. That way they can keep up with the cloud market leader Amazon. Reportedly these will be announced this week already. Job losses will occur worldwide. Recently thousands of jobs already had been cut, based on another reorganization mostly related to their mobile phone segment. Friday is the end of Microsoft’s fiscal year, likely that when the announcements will take place.
