Microsoft has released KB5020044, an optional update for Windows 11 22H2 that addresses issues in various areas. To name one flaw that affected games and applications performance.
The KB5020044 update's bug fixes show that Microsoft has addressed the issue that lowered app and game performance. The corporation claims the issue was with the available GPU debugging options. A bug that caused the CopyFile function to fail with error 317: ERROR MR MID NOT FOUND, which caused the file explorer to malfunction and increased CPU usage when the user opened a file; another bug that caused specific applications not to run correctly; a bug that caused File Explorer to stop working in specific scenarios, such as when the user closed a popup menu; and a bug that caused installing updates via Windows Update to fail with error 0x800f0806. The KB5020044 update is available as an optional download through Windows Update for all users running Windows 11 22H2. This link will take you to the Microsoft Update catalogue, where you can download the update and manually install it on one or more computers.
