LG Electronics has unveiled two new 31.5-inch 4K OLED gaming monitors, the 32GS95UV-B (black) and 32GS95UV-W (white), on September 25, 2024. These models are slated for release in late October 2024, with an estimated market price of approximately $1,679 USD each. Leveraging advanced microlens array technology, these displays achieve a 30% increase in brightness over previous models. This enhancement, combined with OLED's inherent capability for deep black levels and a rapid 0.03 ms response time, makes these monitors suitable for high-performance gaming. The dual-mode functionality allows users to switch between a 4K resolution at 240Hz, optimal for role-playing and massively multiplayer online games, and a Full HD resolution at 480Hz, ideal for first-person shooters and sports titles. Additional features include DAS mode for minimized latency, support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technologies to ensure smooth synchronization, a black stabilizer for improved visibility in dark scenes, and an integrated FPS counter to monitor frame rates during gameplay.

In addition to the OLED models, LG has also released the 34WR55QK-B, a 34-inch curved display designed for users requiring a wider aspect ratio. This monitor supports a UWQHD resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio, utilizing a VA panel with a 1800R curvature. The display adheres to HDR10 standards, offering a brightness of 300 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, which facilitates detailed image rendering across various lighting conditions. The 34WR55QK-B is equipped with multiple connectivity options, including two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, one USB Type-C port, two USB downstream ports, and an audio jack. The monitor operates at a 100Hz refresh rate with a 5ms response time and covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut, ensuring accurate color representation. Priced at approximately $563 USD, this model is available from early October 2024. Both the OLED and VA panels support extensive adjustability, including tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments, as well as VESA mounting compatibility, making them versatile for various ergonomic setups.

The technical specifications of the 32GS95UV-B and 32GS95UV-W models include a maximum brightness of 1,300 cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, and support for approximately 1.07 billion display colors. They cover 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and offer a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees both horizontally and vertically. These monitors are certified with DisplayHDR True Black 400, ensuring high dynamic range performance. Connectivity options encompass two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, one USB upstream port, two USB downstream ports, and an audio jack. The built-in speakers deliver 14W of audio output, with each speaker rated at 7W. Ergonomic adjustments include a tilt range of -5 to 15 degrees, swivel of -30 to 30 degrees, pivot up to 90 degrees, and height adjustment of up to 110mm. The monitor dimensions are 714mm in width, 250mm in depth, and adjustable in height from 511mm to 621mm, with a weight of 9.8kg. These features collectively position LG’s new OLED displays as robust options for gamers seeking high-resolution and high-refresh-rate monitors with versatile connectivity and ergonomic flexibility.
