Recently, details about GBTs new motherboard lineup based on the Intel Z890 chipset were inadvertently revealed through leaked marketing materials. This chipset will support Intel's Core Ultra 200-series processors, which are compatible with the LGA1851 socket. The Intel Z890 represents the first desktop motherboard chipset for these upcoming processors, which are built on the "Arrow Lake" microarchitecture. The Core Ultra 200-series processors are anticipated to maintain similar CPU core configurations as the existing Raptor Lake models, featuring up to 8 Performance (P) cores and 16 Efficiency (E) cores. However, they will offer enhancements such as increased Instructions Per Cycle (IPC) on both P-cores and E-cores, improved power efficiency due to the transition to Intel’s 3 foundry node for the Compute Tile, and the introduction of a 50 TOPS-class Neural Processing Unit (NPU), marking these as Intel's first processors equipped with an integrated NPU.

GIGABYTE’s Z890 lineup includes several models across its brands, catering to different user preferences and requirements. The lineup kicks off with the AORUS Xtreme AI TOP, positioned as the flagship model, followed by the AORUS Master AI TOP, and a model simply labeled the "Z890 AI TOP." These models suggest a focus on AI capabilities, although the specific implications of the "AI TOP" designation remain unclear at this stage, as AI acceleration is primarily a processor function. Additional models in this lineup include the AORUS Master (without the AI TOP extension), the AORUS Pro Ice, and three variations of the AORUS Elite, which differ mainly in connectivity options such as integrated Wi-Fi. Notably, the Z890 chipset-based motherboards will not support DDR4 memory, aligning with the shift to more advanced memory technologies and potentially explaining why the initial product range is not as extensive as GIGABYTE's first series of LGA1700 motherboards.
