Kioxia has introduced the Exceria Plus G4 solid-state drive, which utilizes the PCIe 5.0 interface. The SSD is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, both following the single-sided M.2 2280 form factor. Each model is supported by a five-year warranty, although official pricing has not been released.
The Exceria Plus G4 is designed for enhanced efficiency compared to the previous Exceria Plus G3 series, achieving an 80% improvement in power efficiency during maximum continuous read operations. The 1TB version offers a total bytes written (TBW) endurance of 600TB, while the 2TB model provides 1,200TBW. The drive is equipped with the Phison E31T cacheless controller and utilizes Kioxia's 218-layer BiCS flash memory technology.
In terms of performance, the Exceria Plus G4 delivers a maximum sequential read speed of 10,000MB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 8,200MB/s for the 2TB model, with the 1TB version achieving 7,900MB/s write speeds. Both capacities provide 4K random access performance with read speeds of 1.3 million IOPS and write speeds of up to 1.4 million IOPS.
