Kingston Technology Company, Inc., a prominent manufacturer of memory products, has announced the forthcoming release of its Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 Clocked Unbuffered Dual Inline Memory Modules (CUDIMMs). These modules are specifically designed to be compatible with Intel's latest 800-series chipset, previously known by the codename Arrow Lake. The Intel 800-series chipset marks the initial platform to implement Clock Drivers on CUDIMMs, enhancing memory performance and reliability. According to the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) standards, at speeds of 6400 MT/s DDR5, the inclusion of a Client Clock Driver (CKD) on Unbuffered DIMMs (UDIMMs) and Small Outline DIMMs (SODIMMs) is mandatory. The CKD component serves to buffer and retransmit the clock signal from the processor, thereby improving signal integrity to the memory module. To differentiate these advanced modules from standard DDR5 UDIMMs and SODIMMs, JEDEC has classified them as CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs, respectively.

The Kingston FURY Renegade series offers both RGB and non-RGB CUDIMM modules with an overclocked speed starting at 8400 MT/s. These modules are available in configurations of 24 GB single modules and 48 GB dual-channel kits, catering to various performance requirements. Since CUDIMMs and UDIMMs utilize the same 288-pin connector, Kingston FURY UDIMMs equipped with Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) and Extend Profile (EXPO) are also compatible with Intel 800-series motherboards. To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, users are advised to consult the motherboard manufacturer's Qualified Vendor List (QVL) or utilize the Kingston Configurator tool to verify supported speeds and memory capacities.

Kingston has conducted extensive testing and qualification of the new 8400 MT/s CUDIMM modules in collaboration with leading motherboard manufacturers. These modules have received Intel XMP certification for use with the new Intel Z890 motherboards paired with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors.
