IPhones with Fortnite installed on online trading places such as eBay are offered with preposterous amounts. Sellers charge thousands of euros for it. Fortnite is no longer available in the App Store due to a conflict with Apple.
An iPhone XS and iPhone 11 offered on eBay run up to $ 10,000 (more than 8,400 euros). Most of the advertisements are not bids. This is probably due to the high asking prices, but also the fact that Fortnite is free to play on many other platforms. Fortnite is no longer available in the App Store since last week. Developer Epic Games broke the rules of Apple and Google app stores to avoid 30 percent commission, after which the game was pulled from the stores by the tech companies.
IPhone owners who once owned Fortnite can download the game again.
Downloading Fortnite again works like this:
- Open the App Store and go to your account
- Choose 'Purchases' and then 'My purchases'
- Search for 'Fortnite'
- Tap the cloud icon to download the game
After Fortnite was removed from app stores , Epic filed lawsuits against Apple and Google to amend the rules for remitting commission on in-app purchases. Apple announced this week that it would not make an exception for Epic. "The rules apply to everyone. Developers agree to that when they submit their app."
