In addition to Intel China's recent announcement regarding the upcoming 14th Gen Core series, Intel's official website has also hinted at an imminent refresh. Through a Google search crawler, hardware detective @momomo_us discovered that Intel had already referenced the new Raptor Lake series on its website.

Specifically, the term "Raptor Lake Refresh" was listed as a supported platform in the Processor Identification Utility, a tool employed for verifying the authenticity of Intel CPUs. Although the entry has since been removed, it serves as yet another confirmation of the rumors that have circulated for several months.

Leaked information suggests that the forthcoming update for desktop and high-end laptops will involve Raptor Lake chips, which will feature higher clock speeds and enhanced support for faster memory. Notably, Intel China not only introduced the new series but also clarified that Raptor Lake Refresh will not adopt the company's new branding strategy. Similar to the 13th Gen Core-S and Core-HX CPUs, the upgraded Raptor Lake dies will retain the old naming scheme, utilizing the "i#" branding that will be phased out in future generations, starting with the mobile Meteor Lake. Initially, the Meteor Lake codename was expected to extend to the desktop LGA-1851 platform as well. However, Intel has since altered its plans, canceling the series for desktops. Consequently, the refresh serves as an interim generation before Intel launches its Arrow Lake chips next year.
