User Extreme Player has already tested Core i9-13900K, i7-13700K, and i5-13600K. These are preproduction samples that won't match the final items. Even the QS utilized for this overclocking test is different from ES1.
Ttesting a preproduction Core i9-13900KF QS (without graphics). Cooling the processor using a liquid loop chiller should provide some performance headroom. EP testing show that this cooling method can overclock from 5.8 to 6.18 GHz.
With all eight Performance cores, CPU-Z reports 6.18 GHz and all sixteen Efficient cores 4.69 GHz. This clock was only noticed in CPU-Z, where the processor earned 1011 points, 1 point more than i7-13700K @ 6.18 GHz. All-core speed drops to 5.8 GHz in Cinebench R23. This Qualification Sample's memory frequency support is lower than ES1 (Engineering Sample 1) on MSI Z690I Unify. The sample won't boot with DDR5-8000 or DDR5-7840. APEX+QS works at 7400 Mbps.
Following a late-September announcement, Intel will launch Raptor Lake-S CPUs in October. 13th Gen Core will compete with AMD Ryzen 7000.
