Intel recently released a Product Change Notification (PCN) announcing the cessation of the reference-design Arc A770 16 GB Limited Edition graphics card.
This implies that retailers cannot submit new orders for this product to Intel. The default video memory capacity of the Arc A770 is 8 GB, while the reference specification employs 8 GB of GDDR6 memory operating at 16 Gbps across a 256-bit wide memory bus. Contrarily, the A770 Limited Edition card has a more rapid memory speed of 17.5 Gbps and a larger capacity of 16 GB. Despite the memory variations, the A770 Limited Edition and the custom-design A770 graphics cards maintain identical GPU core configurations.
Unexpectedly, Intel declared the discontinuation of the Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics processing units (GPUs). This development only pertains to the Intel-branded "Limited Edition" GPUs, specifically the A770 SKU. Hence, the production of all board partner designs remains undisturbed, with Intel persisting in the supply of silicon to these corporations as previously practiced.
