HP posted a web page holding specifications of some of the company's future notebooks, these hold unannounced processors, and that would be the Intel Whiskey Lake generation. The page has been taken offline again, but as with anything posted early on the web, somebody snagged a screenshot.
You will notice three processors series, Intel Core i3, i5 and i7. The i7 will be the 8565U and has a base clock speed of 1.8 GHz. The turbo speed is 4.6 GHz and it is equipped with 8 MB cache. With intel that often is just one thread though. Next is the i5 8265U, that is clocked at 1.6 up-to 4.1 GHz and 6 MB cache. Then there is the i3-8145U, which runs from 2.1 to 3.9 GHz and has 4 MB cache.
Interestingly, the number of cores the three processors have is not mentioned. We can only assume the i3 has two cores and the i5 and i7 both have four cores. All processors are equipped with Hyperthreading. The processors have the same UHD Graphics 620-gpu as Intel in the current processors. Intel has not yet announced the Whiskey Lake U processors, but it is expected that the processors will still appear in laptops this fall. They are still baked at 14 nm. Processors at 10 nm will probably follow next year.
