Haswell is not anticipated to receive quick adoption in the market. Digitimes heard the new CPU is anticipated to account for around 19 percent of processor shipments at the end of 2013, while Ivy Bridge is expected to account for 80 percent. 

The forecast also shows that Intel's Core i5 and Core i7 series processors are mainly selling to Canada, the US, the UK, Germany, Poland, Russia, China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Australia, together accounting for 70% of company's total sales.

The sources believe that the Haswell platform is likely to have a limited impact on boosting PC demand, and the Ivy Bridge platform, which is expected to enjoy price cuts after the release of Haswell, will still be the mainstream choice in the market in 2013.
