Quarterly figures for the fourth quarter in 2021 show that both GTA V and GTA Online were good for a turnover of about 3.37 billion dollars (2.76 billion euros) and 589 million dollars (483 million euros) in profit.

In a recent SEC filing, Take-Two confirms that the GTA franchise generated 29.2 percent of its total revenue for the year, or $ 985 million ($ 808 million). In comparison, Call of Duty earned more than $ 3 billion ($ 2.46 billion) in revenue last year. GTA Online increased its revenues by $ 267.4 million ($ 219 million) during this period due to increased interest and newly added DLC. The game was released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 18, 2014, but the Windows version was not released until April 14, 2015.
