Last week at the Computex announcements motherboards for the new AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs with the X670E and X670 chipsets had been outed. Gigabyte's lineup includes three AORUS and one AERO model.

The motherboards are X670, although they look to be early designs before AMD's X670E specification upgrade. On the one hand, there is the X670E AORUS Xtreme, which is at the top of the line, followed by the X670E Master and the X670 AORUS PRO AX. Gigabyte's portfolio also includes the only X670(E) AERO D motherboard. Please keep in mind that these are only the earliest versions of Gigabyte motherboards that were showcased at Computex 2022. Each manufacturer will release several other motherboards that have not yet been revealed.

The Gigabyte X670E AORUS Xtreme motherboard will cost between $500 and $600 in the United States.
The Gigabyte X670E AORUS Xtreme will be the top of the manufacturer's AM5 range, with the LGA 1718 socket and a power delivery with 18 phases (105A) that will run the AMD Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs. The motherboard includes dual 8-pin connectors and a 24-pin ATX connector, as well as four DDR5 memory slots with EXPO (Ryzen Extended Profiles For Overclocking) compatibility and sizes of up to 128GB. The motherboard features three PCIe x16 slots (1x Gen 5 x8, 2x Gen 4 x 4) and one PCIe Gen 5.0 socket for an M.2 SSD. Because of the enormous number of Gen 5 M.2 slots, PCIe bandwidth is reduced to just x8 lanes while still providing the same amount of bandwidth as a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 interface. The motherboard includes 6 SATA III ports, big metal fins that cover the VRMs, and a heatsink for the M.2 slots as well as the PCH. A Marvell AQC113C chip with a PCIe 4.0 interface for 10GbE Ethernet LAN, as well as an array of buttons, Q-Flash Plus, and Clear CMOS, is also included. The RDNA 2 iGPU has at least 10 USB Gen 2 connectors as well as HDMI/DP interfaces.

In the United States, the Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master Motherboard will cost between $400 and $360.
Moving on to the Gigabyte X670E AORUS Master, this is a high-end motherboard that appears to be one of the better possibilities for $350 or less. Dual 8-pin connectors power the 16+2+2 (105A) power VRM. The VRMs are protected by an aluminum heatsink, and the motherboard, like the Xtreme, has an E-ATX form size. In terms of connectivity, the motherboard has three PCIe x16 slots (1x Gen 5 x16, 2x Gen 4 x 4) and three PCIe Gen 5.0 slots for M.2 SSDs. Six SATA III connections are available for storage, and the aesthetic is better than ever, with a more industrial approach this time, with a black and metallic finish on the heat sinks. On the back, there are 12 USB ports (10 Gen 2) and a 2.5GbE Ethernet LAN connector. Gigabyte X670 AORUS PRO AX – Priced between $350 and $300.

The Gigabyte X670 AORUS PRO AX motherboard is the X670 family's stepper and costs roughly $300-350 USD. A 16+2+2 (90A) VRM will be driven via a twin 8-pin connector configuration on the motherboard. Unlike the other two high-end alternatives, which have finned heatsinks, the PRO AX has a conventional aluminum heatsink that nonetheless provides full cooling coverage. The motherboard has three PCIe x16 slots (1x Gen 4 x16, 1x Gen 4 x4, 1x Gen 3 x4) and four PCIe M.2 slots, one of which is Gen 5 compatible while the others are Gen 4. There are additionally six USB Gen 2 ports, four USB 3.0 ports, a single 2.5GbE LAN port, and two USB Type-C ports (1x Gen 22, 1x Gen 2).

The Gigabyte X670(E) AERO D motherboard will cost $400 and boasts an industrial design.
Finally, the Gigabyte X670(E) AERO D motherboard should cost somewhat more than $400. It is identical to AORUS Master in many ways, except it replaces a Gen 5 M.2 slot with an ASMedia ASM4242 USB4 host controller, which provides two USB 4 ports on the rear plate. Two X670 (E) chipsets are seen right below the circuit board for the DDR5 memory modules. This is two individual chips rather than one put together. The heat sink, which has a thick aluminum body, provides cooling. It's a really sturdy motherboard. The Gigabyte and AORUS 600 series motherboard lineup will be available in the coming months, with AMD's Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs.
