The Geekbench database has unveiled preliminary benchmark outcomes for the upcoming Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics card. The data indicates an approximate 17 percent performance enhancement over the RTX 3060 in the Vulkan benchmark, and an 18 percent increment in the OpenCL test.

The GeForce RTX 4060 registered a score of 99,419 points in the Geekbench 6 Vulkan benchmark, and 105,630 points in OpenCL. On the other hand, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 graphics card, a similar contender, records an average Vulkan test score of 95,147 points, and 80,209 points in the OpenCL test, according to Videocardz. The superior performance of Nvidia's card in the OpenCL test is worth noting. Moreover, the RTX 4060 Ti version displays an average performance escalation of 21.6 percent in the Vulkan benchmark and 25 percent in OpenCL, surpassing the base model 4060 in both evaluations. The 3060 Ti also exhibits a slight performance edge over the standard 4060 in both benchmarks.

Geekbench software doesn't account for variables impacting performance, such as clock speeds or the specific drivers used by the graphics cards. The Nvidia RTX 4060 is powered by an AD107 GPU that houses 3072 CUDA cores and includes a 24MB L2 cache. The graphics card is provisioned with 8GB of standard memory and can reach a memory bandwidth of up to 272GB/s. Nvidia has set a price tag of 329 euros for the RTX 4060, and plans to launch it on June 29.
