EIZO announced their first HDR reference monitor with a built-in calibration sensor, the ColorEdge Prominence CG3146. The successor to the ColorEdge prominence CG3145-BS has a built-in EIZO unique calibration sensor that can accurately measure a high brightness display of 1,000 cd / m2 at the top of the housing.
The monitor has DCI-4K support, which offers 4,096 x 2,160 resolution in a 31.1-inch display that meets the needs of film and video professionals. In addition, Eizo upped the ante with high brightness hitting 1,000 nits and offering the world’s first LCD monitor to offer 1,000,000:1 contrast ration and deep, true blacks. By using the dedicated color management software "ColorNavigator 7" (free), accurate adjustments can be made according to the purpose. In addition, since automatic readjustment is performed periodically, deviations in luminance and chromaticity due to aging can be corrected, and correct display can always be maintained. In addition, one input/output terminal supporting up to 12G-SDI and three input/output terminals supporting up to 3G-SDI are installed. Since the camera can be connected directly, it is also useful for checking and referencing images at the shooting site.
The liquid crystal panel is a 31.1" type anti-glare IPS with a resolution of 4,096x2,160 dots, the aspect ratio is 17: 9, the display gradation is 1,024 gradations (out of about 65,000 gradations), the display color is about 1,073,740,000 colors, the viewing angle is horizontal / vertical 178 °, brightness 1,000cd/㎡, contrast ratio 1,000,000: 1, response speed 10ms, color gamut DCI-P3 coverage 99%.
The VESA mounter is 200x200mm, the body size is 757mm (778mm with hood), 488mm (498.5mm), 208mm (327mm), and weight is about 26.5kg (27.4kg). The product warranty is 5 years, and a 6-month bright spot warranty is also provided. They did not mention pricing.
