The Dell SE2417HG (G for Gaming) is a product that of among the first models to surface from the their 17 series (2016 release) line-up. The panel used is a 23.6” TN (Twisted Nematic) model with 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. 

From the front the monitor has an unassuming but modern look that’s now quite common on Dell models. The OSD (On Screen Display) and power buttons are tactile, and the power status indicator is the white vertical slit design that Dell has adopted on many of their recent displays.170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles are specified alongside a 1000:1 static contrast ratio. The screenscomes with a 6bit + FRC dithering is used to form 8-bits per colour channel. The backlight is standard WLED, providing approximate coverage of the sRGB colour space and 300 cd/m² typical maximum luminance and comes with an 1ms grey to grey response time.

The display connectors include; 2 HDMI 1.4 ports, VGA and 3.5mm audio output. Further information on this model can be found on certain regional Dell websites (such as their Chinese one, which will require translation into English). Information on price and availability are to be announced.
