A Thai overclocker named Audigy reset the DDR4 memory frequency world record by cranking that memory towards  5280 MHz. The setup used for the world record included ASRock Z170M OC Formula, Teamgroup TForce DDR4 memory and Intel Core i7 7700K.

There used to be a time when RAM was clocked at 500 MHz but now we are looking at a whopping 5280 MHz. ASRock Z170M OC Formula is infamous for memory overclocking, actually the top four memory frequency records have been made with this board. The board has been designed by well-known overclocker Nick Shih. This tiny terror board has (only) two memory slots to improve memory signaling and hence improve the memory overclocks.

Now, Let us look at the snapshots of the world record and the setup used to make this record.
