Yesterday evening it became clear that the game studio postpones the release of Cyberpunk 2077 for 21 days. The game will not be released on November 19, but only on December 10.
Cyberpunk 2077 is set in a dystopian future in the fictional Night City, an urban region "obsessed with power, glamor and body modifications." In the game, the player takes on the role of V, who can adjust and improve his or her body with the help of technology. It is the third time that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed. According to the studio, more time is needed for all different versions of the game to run smoothly.
The developer states that optimizing the nine different versions of the game takes a lot of time. These are the versions for the Xbox One and One X, PlayStation 4 and 4 Pro, PC and Google Stadia. In addition to these six versions, the game should also be made compatible with the Xbox Series X and S and the PlayStation 5. A next-gen update for the game won't follow until sometime next year. The development studio CD Projekt Red published a statement on Twitter in which they made the renewed delay official and went into the exact details.
