The RMx series now features a six-layer PCB for improved thermal and electrical performance. According to Jon Gerow, Director of Power Supply Research and Development at Corsair, the series has also been upgraded with a more efficient fan design and has achieved the Cybenetics Gold rating for efficiency and A+ for noise control. These power supplies use 100% Japanese electrolytic capacitors and maintain full power output even at ambient temperatures up to 50°C, ensuring reliable performance under heavy loads.
The updated RMx power supplies are available in 750 W, 850 W, and 1000 W models, all fully compliant with ATX 3.1 standards. Each unit includes a native 12V-2x6 connector, making them compatible with current and future high-end GPUs. The 140 mm FDB fan is PWM-controlled and features a dome structure designed to reduce surface friction, extending its lifespan and lowering operational noise. A fan curve allows for silent operation at low loads, while the manual override knob lets users adjust the fan speed as needed.
Modular, embossed cables are designed for easy routing, featuring a slim profile and the flexibility to fit into tight spaces. The 12V-2x6 cable is equipped with low-profile combs for a clean, organized appearance. The RMx power supply enclosure has been redesigned with a stamped, low-restriction fan grill and improved connector layout for easier identification. For additional customization, users can pair the RMx Series with Corsair Premium Individually Sleeved Type 4 PSU cables and ARGB cable strips, available separately.
