BenQ is set to reelase the BL2420PT, a 23.8" IPS monitor aimed to professionals.  The BL2420PT will be the initial model of this size to offer a high 2560 x 1440 resolution, something normally reserved for 27" models. This produces a pixel density of 123.41 PPI (pixels per inch) which would be comparable to if you had a 4k 3840 x 2160 resolution on a 36" sized screen.

The panel is AU Optronics' new M238DAN01.0 which is an IPS-type AHVA panel (not to be confused with AMVA). The backlight is W-LED and offers a standard sRGB colour gamut. It also has a true 8-bit colour depth. As with all modern BenQ displays the screen is flicker free (no PWM) and features a range of Low Blue Light modes as well.

The screen offers a 5ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 viewing angles.
