German PC component manufacturer, Be Quiet, is set to unveil two air cooling solutions, namely the Dark Rock Pro 5 and the Dark Rock Elite, at the forthcoming Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany.
The Dark Rock Pro 5 takes over from its predecessor, the Dark Rock Pro 4, and has been enhanced with the incorporation of Silent Wings fans. This model also introduces an integrated speed switch, providing users with the flexibility to optimize either for superior cooling efficiency or reduced noise output. Its design caters to multithreaded operations, making it suitable for high-end gaming and workstation setups. Conversely, the Dark Rock Elite targets users who prioritize peak performance and optimal airflow. It integrates ARGB lighting and a unique rail system for the front fan, ensuring compatibility with a wide array of memory modules and motherboards. This model also features Silent Wings fans with speed switches for adaptable performance adjustments.
Both models made their debut at the Gamescom trade show. The Dark Rock Pro 5 has undergone a redesign and is now equipped with the latest Silent Wings fans that offer two distinct settings: 'quiet' and 'performance'. While the 'performance' mode delivers enhanced cooling, it might generate slightly more noise. Standing as a premium offering compared to the Dark Rock Pro 5, the Dark Rock Elite stands out. Besides its Silent Wings fans with speed switches, it also incorporates integrated ARGB LEDs. The innovative rail system for the front fan aims to enhance memory module compatibility. Notably, both coolers are built with seven heat pipes.
Anticipated for an end-of-October release, the exact launch date for both air coolers remains undisclosed. Prices for these cooling solutions are yet to be revealed in USD.
Furthermore, during Gamescom, Be Quiet's booth will showcase its latest product lineup, including the upcoming Shadow Base 800 cases. Attendees can also engage in gaming competitions against the BLUEJAYS eSports team. The booth will host contests allowing participants to demonstrate their hardware and gaming market expertise. With an open booth arrangement, appointments are unnecessary. Interested individuals can locate Be Quiet in the entertainment area, Hall 10.1, booth A078.
