ASUS introduced the ROG USB-BE92, a wireless LAN dongle supporting Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). This new device enables high-speed wireless communication for PCs that do not natively support Wi-Fi 7, provided they are used in conjunction with a compatible Wi-Fi 7 router. The ROG USB-BE92 features advanced capabilities, including support for 4096-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and Multi-Link Operation (MLO), ensuring compatibility across 6GHz, 5GHz, and 2.4GHz tri-band frequencies.

The device can achieve a combined data transfer rate of up to 6,500 Mbps, with a maximum of 2,882 Mbps on both the 6GHz and 5GHz bands, and 688 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. This performance is up to 3.6 times faster than typical Wi-Fi 6 clients. The dongle supports WPA3 security protocols and features two integrated antennas. It connects via a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, accommodating both Type-A and Type-C connections. The ROG USB-BE92 is priced at approximately $119 USD.
