Over at Gamescom ASUS has announced three new motherboards, all intended for Cor X family processors, the ROG Rampage VI Encore Extreme Encore, ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II and the Prime X299-A II.
The three musketeers will all be positioned in the high-end segment of the market, likely their prices as well. The 16-phase ROG Rampage VI Encore Extreme Encore (USD $649) and 12-phase ROG Strix X299-E Gaming II feature a 1.77in live dash and a healty combo of M2 slots. All board can manage 256GB of ram.
The ENCORE holds a Aquantia 10 Gbit/s network chip, in addition to the standard Intel Gigabit network chip, and then an Intel AX2000 WiFi 6 adapter. The STRIX has Realtek 2.5 Gbit / s network controller, in addition, the standard Intel Gigabit network controller, and an AX2000 wifi 6.
The Prime (is it just me or is the white design getting outdated?) has 12 phases and one Gigabit jack. Prices for the Strix are in the 349 USD range and prime I have yet to find a price for, the Encore as stated costs USD $649,-
