ASUS has been paving that road for routers for a couple of years now. New is the ASUS RT-AX55, a cost-effective entry-level Router with AIMEsh capability. It's Wifi6, e.g. AX compatible as well.
It offfers dual bands of 5GHz+2.4GHz. Although it is an entry model, the transfer speed is 574 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band and 1,800 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. Wi-Fi 6 is also characterized by its ability to transmit signals to multiple devices at the same time using the OFDMA function, so performance does not deteriorate even in an environment where more devices are connected.
The supported wireless LAN standard is IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, the antenna is external x4, the processor is 1.5GHz quad-core, and the memory is equipped with 128MB flash and 256MB RAM. Security supports WPA3-Personal, WPA2-Personal, WPA-Personal, WPA-Enterprise, WPA2-Enterprise, WPS, and also supports ASUS original mesh function "AiMesh". The interface is gigabit WAN x1, gigabit LAN x4, body size is width 230mm, depth 134mm, height 56mm, weight 374g. At this time, no sales announcement has been made for this product in the domestic market.
