The first gaming headset with headset-to-headset RGB lighting synchronization, plus ESS DAC and amp, and custom 7.1 virtual surround for gaming audio.
ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced Strix Fusion 500, a gaming headset in the brand-new ROG Strix Fusion series that provides gamers flagship features and audio performance to take their gaming experiences to the next level. ROG Strix Fusion 500 is the first headset to feature customizable RGB lighting that can be synchronized with other headsets, letting gaming teams display their unique style and spirit at LAN parties and tournaments.
The headset features a built-in ESS digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and amplifier, 50mm ASUS Essence drivers and an exclusive airtight chamber design to deliver unmatched high-fidelity gaming audio with deep, punchy bass. For more immersive gaming experiences, ROG Strix Fusion 500 integrates custom 7.1 virtual surround sound developed in close collaboration with Bongiovi Acoustics and optimized for first-person shooter games, such as PUBG and Overwatch, for better in-game awareness. Intuitive touch controls enable gamers to make instant adjustments to volume and other audio settings.
Headset-to-headset lighting sync
ROG Strix Fusion 500 features customizable Aura RGB lighting that enables gamers to choose from over 16.8 million color combinations and three pre-set lighting effects — static, breathing and color cycle — using the intuitive Aura Headset mobile app to create their own gaming vibe. When using the Aura PC software, users can choose from an additional lighting effect that glows and changes with the rhythm of the music currently playing. Exclusive headset-to-headset RGB lighting synchronization makes it easy for gaming teams to shine in unison at competitions with their unique team colors and lighting effects. With the Aura Headset app, gamers can select and adjust headset lighting and easily synchronize it to all their teammates headsets with one tap. ROG Strix Fusion 500 also features Aura Sync technology that enables lighting synchronization with other supported ROG products to create stunning system lighting effects.
Ultimate sound quality
ROG Strix Fusion 500 is designed to deliver the most realistic and immersive gaming audio. Featuring an ESS 9018 digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that provides high-fidelity, 24-bit/96kHz audio processing, an ESS Sabre 9601K amplifier, premium 50mm ASUS Essence drivers and an exclusive airtight chamber design, ROG Strix Fusion 500 delivers detailed, lifelike sound with powerful dynamics and deep bass.
ROG Strix Fusion 500 takes gaming immersion to the next level with 7.1 virtual surround sound enabled by a custom algorithm developed closely with Bongiovi Acoustics. Unlike most gaming headsets that use the same standard virtual surround sound algorithm despite having different acoustic properties, ROG Strix Fusion 500 delivers a tailored virtual surround sound experience for unparalleled, true-to-life gaming and entertainment. The virtual surround sound is tuned for first-person shooters such as PUBG and Overwatch, to give players of these popular games an optimized audio experience and more awareness of their in-game surroundings. Footsteps and other game sounds become more distinct and directional, making it easier for gamers to pinpoint enemies and gain a competitive edge.
Convenient controls and uncompromising comfort
The left ear cup of ROG Strix Fusion 500 integrates a large touch panel that enables instant access to volume and other audio controls, letting gamers easily make adjustments without taking themselves out of the game.
ROG Strix Fusion 500 features ROG Hybrid ear cushions that combine soft, sound-isolating protein leather and breathable fabric mesh for maximum comfort without compromising sound quality. A unidirectional digital boom microphone that uses an optimized sound-processing algorithm to provide in-game communications with a level of clarity traditional analog microphones cannot achieve. The microphone boom is flexible, so gamers can adjust it to the perfect position. When not needed, they can flip the microphone up into a built-in storage compartment and it will be muted automatically.
