Meet the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2, which is the first AM5 motherboard to feature the AMD A620 chipset. Although AMD has not yet announced the A620 chipset, it is expected to be used in budget-friendly motherboards.
Although AMD has not yet confirmed the release of the A620 platform, it is expected to launch next month. The price of the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2 motherboard has not been disclosed as of yet. The ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2 motherboard offers a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for a video card, two PCIe x1 slots, and two M.2 slots. However, it does not support PCIe 5.0. The motherboard also comes with two DIMM slots that are specifically designed for DDR5 memory.
One noticeable absence in the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2 motherboard is heatsinks for the six-phase VRM setup. This indicates that the motherboard is best suited for low TDP Ryzen 7000 processors, such as the non-X models that AMD has previously announced. Furthermore, the ASRock A620M-HDV/M.2 includes four USB-A connections, a USB-C port, gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI connection, a DisplayPort connector, and three 3.5mm audio jacks.
