It's a bit of a mystery and not even confirmed by AMD, but Ryzen 7000's release date could be delayed till September 27 for unexplained reasons. A rumor is that AMD is apparently struggling with AGESA issues on the motherboard side.

The rumor tracks back towards HardwareLuxx who says its source didn't explain why the AGESA microcode is problematic. AGESA is AMD's main firmware for contemporary motherboards and processors. AGESA is essential to all Ryzen systems. AGESA issues can damage system stability and prevent important components from working properly, such as USB ports, RAM, PCIe busses, clock speeds, power delivery, etc.

AMD's low-level motherboard software problems are obvious. AM5 is a new motherboard architecture that includes DDR5, PCIe 5.0, and new chipset designs.  With a potential Ryzen 7000 release day postponement and serious AM5 motherboard software difficulties, we predict AMD will move the release date to the 27th, the day that Intel announces13th Gen Core (Raptor Lake-S) and Z790 chipset.
